A friendly, welcoming, non-intimidating social group for post production.
BCPC NYC officially launched as the first formal on-the-ground group activity on February 23, 2015. Blue Collar Post Collective was originally a group of people who worked in the machine room and other technical roles and met up to talk about their life and work in the same bar every month. Over time the group grew until the official launch in 2015. In April 2016, BCPC was awarded non-profit status and expanded to Los Angeles the following June.
BCPC Mixer at Dolby Soho Experience - 3/2
Dolby has invited BCPC members for a mixer at their new experiential space: Dolby Soho. Dolby has transformed their multi-room interactive experience for a limited-time exhibit, “The Contenders,” celebrating iconic movie scenes from this year’s Oscar nominated films that leveraged Dolby’s visual and audio technologies. Event organizers describe the New York City space as “an experiential place where science meets art and technology meets imagination.” BCPC members are invited to walk through the public exhibit, followed by a private post-production BCPC mixer, with light food and drinks provided by Dolby.
Please note, feel free to arrive early to explore the exhibit, which is going on all day. The private BCPC area will only be open from 5-8PM. Attendees must be registered on Eventbrite.
